The MISSION of the Virginia Education Funding Coalition is to ensure that the Commonwealth of Virginia adequately invests in its public education system so all students are ready to succeed in the global economy.

Students being ready to succeed in the global economy, whatever path they choose (i.e. college, post-secondary training, career, or the military), benefits students, families, communities, and businesses throughout the Commonwealth.

VEFC Major Advocacy OBJECTIVES:

​

1. Educate and empower Virginia families, businesses, and local communities to advocate before the Virginia General Assembly in support for adequate investment in education;

2. Support passage of legislation and policies that increases Commonwealth funding for its public education system; and

3. Support passage of legislation and policies that provides increased flexibility to local governments to raise and diversify their revenue streams.
